ISO: Horses for Adaptive Riding and Horsemanship Program
The Right Step, Inc. adaptive riding and horsemanship program is seeking kind, dependable horses ready for a meaningful next chapter. We are looking for solid, trustworthy partners capable of comfortably carrying riders weighing up to 180 lbs.
We prefer a full-care lease, but can do adoption in the right circumstance.
Ideal candidate:
-Quiet, calm, and well-mannered
-Steady temperament and tolerant of riders who may be unbalanced or loud
-Willing and eager to learn
-Serviceably sound at the walk, trot, and canter, maintenance ok
-Large-bodied and sturdy, 14.2-15.3 hh
-Comfortable living in a stall with daily turnout
Care and placement would begin after we move to our new facility in Sedalia in May, but we’d love to meet horses now.
Horses are well cared for and valued as partners in our program, supporting clients of varying abilities in a safe, structured environment.
If you have a horse that may be a good fit or know of one looking for a purposeful home, we’d love to connect! Email Christine Remy, Executive Director, at christiner@therightstepinc.org. Thanks!
