As the doors of the church opened and the family of Deacon Sylvester Bryant, Sr. “Tick” prepared to depart, there was a solemn yet peaceful transition… from worship to final farewell.

The procession made its way to Oak Grove Church Cemetery with dignity and honor, a reflection of a life well lived and deeply respected.

Upon arrival, family and friends gathered one last time around the casket each person taking a moment to place flowers as a final expression of love, respect, and remembrance.

Those quiet gestures spoke volumes… a touch, a tear, a flower laid with care each one saying what words often cannot.

At the committal service, prayers were lifted and words of faith were spoken, reminding all in attendance that this was not goodbye, but a transition… a return to God… a resting place until that great and glorious day.

Though hearts were heavy, faith stood firm.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

What a truly powerful and Spirit filled Homegoing Celebration it was for Deacon Sylvester Bryant, Sr. “Tick.”

From the very beginning, the presence of the Lord filled the sanctuary bringing peace, comfort, and a reminder that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Every prayer, every song, and every word spoken lifted hearts and strengthened spirits.

Family and friends came together in love, embracing one another, holding hands, and standing united through the service. In those moments, you could feel the power of community each hug, each tear, and each word of encouragement helping to carry one another through.

This was more than a service… it was a celebration of life, legacy, and unwavering faith. A reminder that while we grieve, we do not grieve without hope. For we believe that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Today, we witnessed love in action, faith on display, and a family strengthened by God and each other.

Well done, thy good and faithful servant.

As the Bryant Family gathered together in the quiet comfort of home, there was a sacred stillness filled with love, reflection, and unity.

Before making their way to the church for the Homegoing Celebration of Deacon Sylvester Bryant, Sr. “Tick,” the family embraced one another sharing prayers, memories, and strength in a private and intimate setting.

This cherished tradition allows families a moment away from the public eye… a time to lean on one another, to gather emotionally, and to prepare their hearts for the journey ahead. Within those walls, laughter and tears often meet stories are told, hands are held, and the true essence of family is felt.

Today, the Bryant Family stood together, rooted in love and strengthened by faith, as they prepared to honor a life well lived.
