🚧 HOLIDAY PARADE STREET CLOSURES – DECEMBER 6TH 🎄

Livermore Downtown is preparing for a large, family-friendly crowd downtown. Please review the following closures and safety reminders:

📍 STREET CLOSURES
Starting at 1 PM:
• South Livermore Ave from Veterans Way → Third St
Starting at 2 PM:
• First St from Maple St → South N St
• Second St from Maple St → N St
• ALL cross streets between First & Third will be closed:
– McLeod St, J St, K St, L St, M St
• No Parking: North side of 3rd St (S. Livermore Ave → L St)
🚫 All streets within the parade area will be marked NO PARKING. Vehicles left inside closures will be towed.

🎅 PARADE DETAILS
• Parade starts at 6 PM and lasts approximately 1 hour
• Route travels east on First Street, ending with a tree lighting ceremony at Lizzie Fountain (across from Flag Pole Plaza)

🪑 CHAIRS & VIEWING AREAS – Recommended Setup after 2pm
• Downtown businesses remain open—parking stalls are for customers until closures
• Chairs placed in parking stalls before closures will be removed
• Please keep chairs/blankets behind the pink crowd tape – setup at 4pm at mid parking space point. Anything in front of mid parking stall will be moved.
• Sidewalks must remain open for ADA access
• Once the parade begins, no street crossing is allowed

🚗 PARKING NOTES
• Select parking stalls close at 11 AM (in front of Panama Bay Coffee & Legacy at Livermore—used for announcing stages).
– Chairs here will be removed
– Cars parked after 11 AM will be towed
• Handicap parking available at Veterans Way and the Railroad Ave Parking Garage (next to the Bankhead Theater)

⏰ REOPENING
Streets are estimated to reopen around 9 PM, depending on pedestrian safety.

🚶 SAFETY REMINDERS
• Wear high-visibility clothing when walking home
• Use extreme caution when driving—many families and children will be on foot
• Please stay behind the pink crowd tape at all times

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄 now that our maintenance team finished its holiday decorations this morning. 🎅 You might have seen our elves working away. 🧑‍🔧

They put up all of our twinkling lights ✨ and sparkling decorations to bring out the joy for our residents and visitors. 😊

Thank you to our residents and businesses who gave our team the space to complete the tasks at hand. 🙏 We hope you get a chance to take it all in and share it with your friends and family. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
