Today is Read Across America Day! 📖📚

This day, celebrated each year on the birthday of Dr. Seuss, is all about inspiring a love of reading in children and communities across the country.

Led by the National Education Association, Read Across America encourages us to pick up a book, share a story, and help build lifelong readers. It is a great reminder that reading does more than spark imagination - it strengthens speech and language skills, too! When children are read to regularly, they build vocabulary, improve pronunciation, learn stronger sentence structure, and develop better listening and storytelling skills. Books expose them to rich language that naturally boosts confidence and helps them express themselves more clearly. Today is the perfect day to pick up a book and support not just a love of reading, but strong communication skills for life.

Whether it’s reading with your child, visiting a local library, or donating a favorite book, every page turned makes a difference!
