I want to acknowledge something clearly before sharing this reflection.
Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, passed away recently. In later years, he became a controversial public figure, and many people strongly disagreed with things he said. I’m not writing to gloss over that.
What I’m reflecting on is something Dilbert captured early on that stuck with me long before any of that. Many workplace problems aren’t individual failures. They’re signals of systems that quietly shape behavior, posture, stress, and burnout.
The cartoon I’m sharing makes a simple point. You can’t fix posture without understanding the system that shaped it. That insight has aged better than most workplace advice.
It’s also a quiet reminder that what we put into the world tends to outlast the moment we say it. Worth remembering, especially in loud times.
