Brooke and I reserve this Betty gif in our text for VERY special occasions. Receiving this email from this mama on Friday was one of those such occasions! Mama’s goal was a vaginal twin birth so that’s what we worked towards and she did it! Women are superheroes (for so many reasons!). Chiropractic can be so much more than pain relief and it’s a 2 for 1 during pregnancy, no matter what your goals are and no matter how you give birth. What a pleasure. WE LOVE OUR “JOBS”!

Spending part of my Saturday with 75 other family chiropractors and the ICPA-International Chiropractic Pediatric Association digging into chiropractic management of midline defects, AKA tethered oral tissues, oral ties or tongue, lip and buccal ties! Only an hour in and I’ve already added to my infant exam form 🥰🤗

Fun fact: I last took a class with Dr. Rubin in May of 2014! 🤯

🎉 Another day (& week) at Thrive is in the books! We’re truly so grateful for each day we get to do this “job”. We had 3 new patients today. Dr. Brooke saw a new pregnant patient to establish her wellness chiropractic care AND was able to accommodate a new patient with acute neck pain, and I saw the sweetest 3 month old who doesn’t like turning his neck to the left, and this sweet family was referred by one of our former families! Is there a greater honor!?

Okay enough rambling - the ICING ON THE CAKE for today is that our sweet angel Annie turns ELEVEN today! She came to work but essentially took the day off (greeted exactly ZERO people and slept all morning 😂🥰). PS- she is not a fan of the hat and showed it who was boss ASAP.

Although the first Monday in April started out cold and dreary 🌨️❄️, Thrive was warm and rockin’! I always love the energy when Dr. Brooke and I are adjusting together, and the icing on the cake was ICAN of Syracuse meeting in our back space this morning too.

We also added SIX new plant residents after a stop (or perhaps two stops 🙃😉) today at Chuck Hafner's Farmer's Market.

SPOTTED at my annual appointment this week at Cicero Family Eye Care. Tech neck is REAL! Especially among our pediatric population where research says children between the ages of 8 and 18 spend 7.5-8.5 hours PER DAY on screens, with smartphone use alone averaging about five hours. In developing spines! 😳🫣

Without addressing the problem of the screen time itself, as parents we have to be vigilant in making sure proper posture is used while our kids (and while we) are on our screens. We talk about this all the time in our office. Please reach out with questions or if this is a topic you’d like to hear more about, let us know and we’ll keep addressing it here.
