It takes a team, and today's team was a 911 dispatcher who asked the right questions to trigger a helicopter standby from LifeNet 7-5, our team at LMVAC along with an Empress paramedic, and our partners at LMFD to setup a landing zone.... all to get the patient the care they needed, quickly.

The dedication of the emergency services personnel that oversee this academy is truly admirable. A huge thank you to Sullivan County Commissioner of Public Safety Scott Schulte, Deputy Commissioner and Fire Coordinator John Hauschild, and Deputy Commissioner of EMS & 911—and our very own Ambulance Corps President—Alex Rau, for being community-focused leaders and role models for our youth.
