November is Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month! Diabetes can greatly impact your vision, in particular the retina. Here at Jackson Eye Care, we conduct diabetic eye exams and treat patients who have negative visual side effects as a result of having high blood sugar.

This past weekend, Dr. Jackson had the pleasure of visiting his long time patient's garden! The couple had a variety of produce in their garden and were kind enough to share some with Dr. Jackson.

For great eye health, it is important to eat lots of green leafy vegetables, so do your best to purchase those at your local farmers' market and/or grocery store.
