Our friends from Elite Hospice stopped by to see us today! Just look at that baby bump - our sweet friend is GLOWING! 😍

These Lufkin-based folks provide exceptional care for their patients, beginning in marketing and going all the way to their nursing and chaplain team. We are so excited to see them expand and grow in Livingston!

She used to say she had nothing to do. That's not a problem anymore.

At Country Place, Evelyn starts her mornings with Seniorcize, catches up with friends over warm coffee and the news, and on beautiful Spring afternoons she's outside — soaking up the sunshine and fresh air with neighbors who've become some of her closest friends.

There's a full calendar every single month. Fitness classes. Bible study. Movie nights with milkshakes. Visits from local preschoolers that light up the whole room. And outings when the weather is this good.

She doesn't just have things to do. She has things to look forward to.

I was part of a poll at church last year that asked, "for 2026, what's one word that describes what you're wanting the most?" Out of all the words in the world, the overwhelming majority answered "peace."

Looking at this picture of our sweet Helen admiring her vegetables that are just beginning to push through the earth's surface, that one word "peace" comes to mind.

As the Executive Director, I'm responsible for ensuring, as much as is humanly possible, that my residents' days are filled with peace and joy while they are within the walls of Country Place.

What a beautiful sight to see this morning.
