Had a day full of events today! First at Small Town Throw Down and Livingston at Pedigo Park and then off to second Saturday on the Square in Woodville. So grateful to have my boyfriend with me today and a special little Green helper, asking people for pennies!

We’ve been blessed to be able to show up to more and more events lately… and one thing has become very clear — the need is bigger than we have ever had! (which is the BEST problem to have!)

Every event, every conversation, every person we meet…
There are people hurting. Quietly. Deeply.

1 in 5

That’s how many people will experience heavy mental health feelings in any given year.
It’s someone sitting next to you.
Someone living in your home.
Someone you love.
Maybe… it’s you.

Even if this isn’t your personal battle, it still touches your life—because loving someone who fights it means you feel it too.

A semicolon—
a pause, not an end.
A bridge between what was and what’s still being written.
It can feel confusing, but it exists for a reason: to show there is more to the story.

Grammatically, it’s stronger than a comma but not quite a period.
And maybe that’s the perfect way to see it—
because it continues a sentence that could have ended… but didn’t.

And neither do you.

You are stronger than depression.
You are stronger than anxiety.
You are more than the lies they try to tell me.

This is not your ending.

There are days it slows you down.
Days it forces you to pause, to breathe, to take care of yourself.
But it does not get to finish your story.

Because there is more.
There is always more.

And there is more to mine, too.

So talk about it.
Share it.
Bring it into the light.

There is no shame here.

Don’t let it be your ending—
let it be a chapter in a story you keep choosing to rise in, every single day.

I am so incredibly thankful to the Wednesday morning women’s Bible study group at First United Methodist Church for inviting me to come share about The Sunshine Act. 💛

I’m still blown away… because you didn’t just listen—you showed up.
You purchased supplies.
You rolled up your sleeves.
You helped create so many Sunshine Kits that will go directly into the hands of people who are struggling.

Because of you, more people will be reminded that they are seen, loved, and not alone.
Lives will be touched because of your kindness.

This is what it looks like when faith turns into action.

🎄 Merry Christmas from The Sunshine Act! ☀️

On this day we want to gently remind everyone that Christmas doesn’t feel merry for all.
For some, this time of year brings loneliness, grief, anxiety, or silent battles that are hard to explain. If that’s you—please know you are seen, you are valued, and you matter. You don’t have to carry it alone.

At the same time, if your heart is full and your days are bright this Christmas, we invite you to pause and remember those who are hurting. A small act of kindness, a check-in message, a moment of patience, or a listening ear can shine more light than you realize.

✨ The Sunshine Act exists for moments like this — to remind us that even the smallest light can break through the darkest days.
Let’s be intentional about spreading warmth, compassion, and hope to those who may be struggling behind closed doors.

This Christmas, let us not only celebrate the birth of Jesus our king but be the light for someone who needs it most. 🤍
