The New Year means new insurance for many patients. Did you know that there can be a big difference in availability of care depending on the type of plan you choose?

Almost half of the Medicare population chooses a Medicare Advantage plan over traditional Medicare. When choosing a plan, talk to your providers to make sure they are able to bill for their services. If you have an HMO plan, you will be limited to in-network providers for all of your care.

At YD Home Medical it is our goal to serve the community in the best way we can. At this time we are not in network with United Healthcare, Humana, Aetna, Simpra, Viva, and some other payers.

While we are able to bill PPO plans, those costs may be higher than they would be if using an in-network provider. If you have changed your coverage, or have questions about the type of plan you have, please give us a call!
