Environmental health plays a vital role in our overall well-being. From clean water and air to safe food and healthy surroundings, it's all connected. During National Public Health Week, we’re shining a light on how the environment impacts our health—because protecting the places where we live, work, and play helps protect us.

Let’s keep asking questions, staying informed, and making healthy choices. 🌎❤️

Measles outbreaks in West Texas and Lea County, NM continue to grow, resulting in the first death from measles in the U.S. since 2015.

The MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine is safe and extremely effective in preventing the spread of measles.

Because measles is so highly contagious, the herd immunity threshold to prevent spread is 95%, but some regions in the U.S. have fallen below that in recent years.
