Thank you to our latest Daisy Honoree, Grisel Agurto, RN, Emergency Department, whose actions and dedication to our shared values of kindness and respect help our patients feel so well cared for during their most vulnerable periods.

“From the moment I met Grisel, she demonstrated what it truly means to be a nurse who leads with compassion, professionalism, and heart. On a morning that began as one of the scariest moments of my life, Grisel stepped in and immediately changed the atmosphere. She carried herself with calmness and reassurance, helping me feel safe when I was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty. The way she spoke to me, explained each step, and made sure I understood what was happening brought me comfort that I will never forget.

What stood out the most was that she never once made me feel like just another patient. She treated me with dignity, patience, and kindness, and she genuinely cared about my well-being. Grisel went above and beyond to ensure that I was not only cared for medically but also emotionally supported. Her presence turned a frightening situation into an experience filled with hope and peace. Nurse Grisel embodies the true spirit of nursing. She is a light in a difficult time, and she deserves to be recognized for the extraordinary care she provides.”
