Dr. Cyrus Loghmanee
Cyrus F. Loghmanee M.D., is a double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He completed an accelerated 6-year combined undergraduate and medical school program, obtaining his M.D. in 2003 at one of the oldest medical schools in Europe, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. He then pursued his General Surgery residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo before completing his Plastic Surgery fellowship in Charleston at the Medical University of South Carolina
Upon completion of his training, he then joined the faculty of the Division of Plastic Surgery at MUSC where he focused on microsurgical breast reconstruction, cosmetic surgery and general reconstruction. Dr. Loghmanee then relocated to the NY/NJ area to be closer to his family and friends and developed East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery with long time friend and now partner, Dr. Dean Cerio. Dr. Loghmanee enjoyed his experience in Charleston and was fortunate to train with and later become colleagues with the pioneers of specialized techniques in microsurgical breast reconstruction using perforator flaps. He developed a passion for treating breast cancer patients by providing all forms of reconstruction. Throughout his training, Dr. Loghmanee won many awards such as “best overall resident” which he shared with his now partner, Dr. Cerio. They also shared the duty of Co-Administrative Chief Resident and won many teaching and research awards. Dr. Loghmanee scored in the 97th percentile on his Plastic Surgery Board Qualifying Exam and scored in the 99th percentile on his Plastic Surgery Board Certifying Exam. His bedside manner, surgical skills and knowledge base are qualities that Dr. Loghmanee maximizes to serve his community, develop relationships, and change lives. Dr. Loghmanee feels that plastic and reconstructive surgery uniquely provides a foundation to treat any patient, from newborn babies to seniors in need of care. It allows him the ability to analyze and correct all deformities and to enhance features that are already in place. Dr. Loghmanee felt he could make the biggest difference as a plastic surgeon and enjoys using the knowledge and skills he has acquired over the past 15 years to help serve communities both locally and abroad.
