October is always a busy one in Livonia. For parents in particular, here's a heads up on Halloween events around town.

🍬 Sunday, Oct. 5th: Treat and Meet at Mies Park from 2pm to 4pm. Bring the family (or come alone) to meet the candidates for City Council and get some treats.

🎃 Sunday, Oct. 12th; Spooky Swim: Floating Pumpkin Patch + Halloween Pool Party at Recreation Center from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Tickets are $15 for kids and $3 for adults

🎃 Friday, Oct. 17th: Shadows from the Past Halloween Walk at Greenmead from 5pm to 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 and pre-registration is required.

🍬 Saturday, Oct. 18th: PKSA Livonia Trunk or Treat + Haunted House from 6pm to 8pm. The Trunk-or-Treat is free and the Haunted House is $3 per person (cash only).

🍬 Sunday, Oct. 19th: Bell Creek Fall Fest + Trunk or Treat from 2pm to 4:30pm. Games, bounce houses, face painting, trunk or treating, and our Chili Cook Off! This event is FREE and we welcome our community to join.

👻 Friday, Oct. 24th: Halloween Spooktacular at Schoolcraft College from 5:30pm to 8pm. FREE, family friendly celebration filled with trick-or-treating, bounce houses, costume contests, and frightfully fun activities.

🍬 Friday, Oct. 24th: Trunk or Treat at Holy Cross Lutheran Church from 6pm to 8pm. Treats, games, giveaways and a performance from The Livonia Beat cardio drumming team!

👻 Saturday, Oct. 25th: Haunted StoryWalk at Civic Center Library from 11am to 1pm

🍬 Saturday, Oct. 25th: Candy Go Round at Kirksey Recreation Center from 11am to 1pm

🎃 Saturday, Oct. 25th: Pumpkin Palooza at Mt. Hope Congregational Church from 6pm to 8pm. A jam-packed evening of pumpkin-themed fun, games, activities, candy, and a spooky walk

Is anyone looking to donate $50,000 to my church?!

I would love to get a large pavilion (like below) for by the playground or on the back side of the church by the community garden. It would be a place to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, even if it’s raining or snowing! Perfect for church events, weddings, exercise classes, and community events!

The Livonia Beat 🥁 was on Channel 4 last night!!! 🚲 We cardio drummed for the cyclists as they headed out on their bike routes.

Tour de Livonia brought $40,000 towards benefiting local food pantries, cognitive support programs, and STEM education for kids. ❤️
