We’re not making assumptions. It all plays: Structural positioning, active ROM (range of motion), movement, passive ROM, active ROM under load, muscle/neural tone, compensation…. Something as simple as a leg length discrepancy can come from muscle tension, pelvic imbalance, low back tension, or bone structure. Leg length discrepancies also present differently standing then they doing laying….so understanding the bodies reaction to weight bearing, gravity, postural tone, compensation and stress are also key. We don’t have all the answers, but we sure as hell have a lot of them.
