Ahead of Memorial Day, the clients in our Communication and Movement Group practiced fine and gross motor skills through the creation of patriotic decorations.

Corewell Health continues to appreciate the hard work and dedication of Therapeutic Rehab. This drop off was especially meaningful as all three Michigan locations were represented in the products donated. These products included cardiac pillows, feelie hearts, keychains, activity packets, badge reels, a fidget pillow, and hand fidgets. Livonia clients had the opportunity to walk through 3 nursing units and hand out the badge reels directly to nursing staff. The response by both clients and nursing staff was one of pride, compassion, excitement, and gratitude. It happened to be during “volunteer week” and each client received a Corewell tote!

Our Troy location celebrated the start of the Tiger’s season with clinic wide festivities! It was a blast to see how several of our departments contributed to the fun! From our Kitchen department making homemade candied almonds and hot dogs, to the Tech Lab designing and printing a variety of Tiger’s-themed stickers, the spirit of the ballpark was felt by all!

Our TRU Beans coffee cart had the opportunity to visit Cabinetworks Group in Livonia last week. This was an incredibly opportunity for our client baristas to work on continuing to grow their skills while serving tasty coffee drinks. Thank you for having us!

The Communication and Movement group in Livonia celebrated Cinco de Mayo by dancing to Mexican music, mixing up a Mexican dip and playing a board game written in Spanish. It was great fun, organized by our Speech-Language Pathologist Kim Grant, and our Physical Therapist Jill Edwards.

Our Livonia location has a robust community/work reintegration program that involves graphic design, die-cutting and dye sublimation and more! One of our clients, Krystal, designed a series of custom coffee mugs using Canva, which were sublimated after customers approval.

It's a big year for our friends at Therapeutic Rehabilitation & Vocational Training Centers! They are celebrating 40 years of serving the rehabilitation community in Southeast Michigan. It's also their 6th year in Berkley. We are so glad to have them in our community and wish them all of the best as they continue their mission.

Therapeutic Rehabilitation was founded by Tracey and Eric Wolfe in 1986. From their humble beginnings in Livonia, to their three Michigan clinics today in Livonia, Berkley, and Troy, their commitment to provide the highest level of quality neurorehabilitation services to people with traumatic brain injuries remains strong.
