Our community outreach team has been working hard to develop amazing partnerships. This hands on event took place at Cabinetworks in Livonia. TRC clients led Cabinetworks staff in creating four different types of animal toys, all of which will be donated to local animal shelters.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to build meaningful partnerships while supporting our community’s animals in need!

The Berkley Bunch celebrated National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day today with home baked cookies. There was a choice between oatmeal chocolate chip and chocolate chip!

On Thursday, July 24, Livonia hosted the First Annual Dip Off! The competition was open to anyone who has a favorite dip. We had all different types of dips, Bean Dip, Pizza Dip, Blueberry Pie Dip, the list goes on. Taste testers voted and awards were given, it was truly a hit!

Canva is a wonderful, user-friendly tool that many of our clients have learned to use to create graphics! In this example Justin practiced new skills by using a reference photo of a sketch on our Berkley clinic drawing board to re-create it using digital elements in Canva. He demonstrated good attention to detail by incorporating various objects such as the sunset, fish, octopus and birds in the sky. This graphic is definitely giving 😎

"Sarah’s zodiac sign is Leo. She enjoys animals, nature, and adventures. At our Berkley Clinic Sarah is one of our Voc. Rehab Specialists, she works in multiple departments with Motion Graphics being her specialty. What Sara likes most about her job is helping her clients work towards reaching their goals. Sarah likes that she is able to use art and creativity every day."

Our Troy kitchen crew was hard at work churning butter today! (Okay, not churning.. but pretty close!) They made four delicious butter flavors AND homemade bread! Each person got to sample the bread and each type of butter before voting on their favorite! Cinnamon butter came in first place, followed by garlic and chive, then garlic and rosemary, and last but certainly not least, jalapeño! Which one would you like to try? Comment below!

Last week, in Livonia, clients and staff visited the community-based garden at Green Meade to see how things were looking and wow! So many shades of green that surrounded the vegetable plants that are slowly growing. We noticed the tomatoes are on their way, and the peppers were also doing well, with one ready to pick! We are always proud of our first harvest. We brought it back to the clinic to share!

Technology is becoming an increasingly helpful tool in the Artistic department in our Troy location! Here you can see Darryl is using the image projected onto the canvas to trace the outline of an image generated by AI – double technology whammy! The image features our Detroit skyline and the famous Ambassador Bridge using a serene, cool, and calming color scheme. The final product will be showcased in the kitchen of our Livonia location! We love cross-location collaboration! What is your favorite building in the Detroit skyline? Comment below!

Fun Fact: the canvas is repurposed from a previously store-bought piece of art!
