Livonia has great Peer Therapeutic Sessions, one of them being the Advanced Cognitive Communication Peer Session. These clients worked together to host an event at Livonia for Brain Injury Awareness Month. They created a presentation that facilitated meaningful discussions about their individual journeys and experiences with brain injury.

This Peer Therapeutic Session focuses on developing foundational cognitive, communication, and executive functioning skills to support independence and daily living, while promoting community engagement, and meaningful social and leisure interactions with peers.

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month, and we are celebrating with some of our wonderful community partners! Our clients have all been working hard to create 600 items including keychains, bracelets, and ribbons to support our Brain Injury Awareness Month Initiative!

Together, we’re raising awareness, sharing education, and helping bring greater understanding about brain injuries in our community. By continuing these important conversations, we can create more visibility, support, and hope!
