Dr. Dennis Dobritt is a Pain Management Specialist with over 35 years of experience evaluating and treating acute, chronic and cancer pain conditions. Dr. Dobritt received his undergraduate education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He attended Eastern Michigan University’s Graduate School in Chemistry and Mathematics in Ypsilanti before attending medical sc
hool. Dr. Dobritt graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following his medical studies, Dr. Dobritt completed his residency in Anesthesiology and a Pain Medicine Fellowship at Providence Hospital’s Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Dobritt is board certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine, and Interventional Pain. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with Added Qualifications in Pain Medicine, as well as the American Board of Pain Medicine and the World Institute of Pain. Dr. Dobritt has been a faculty member at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine for over 30 years and is currently an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgical Specialties. In the past, Dr. Dobritt has been involved in research and previously held the position of Director of Anesthesia Research for the Department of Anesthesiology, Providence Hospital Anesthesia Residency program. He has published several papers and book chapters on various topics in pain management throughout the years. HHoHDuring his career, Dr. Dobritt has had several Governor appointments to serve the State of Michigan including the Advisory Task Force for Pain and Symptom Management, Advisory Committee on Pain and Symptom Management, and the Michigan Osteopathic Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, holding the position of Vice-Chairman for several years and the Chairman his last year on the Board. Dr. Dobritt has been the recipient of several honors and awards over the years including multiple listings in the Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Best Doc’s in America, and several listings in Detroit Magazine’s Top Docs.
