☀️ July is UV Awareness Month! 🕶️
Did you know your eyes can get sunburned just like your skin? Prolonged UV exposure increases the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, and even eye cancer.

This month, we’re raising awareness about how simple habits like wearing UV-protective sunglasses and wide-brimmed hats can protect your sight for life.

✅ Wear sunglasses with 100% UVA/UVB protection

👁️ June is Cataract Awareness Month 👓
Cataracts are one of the most common causes of vision loss—but also one of the most treatable.

At Ophthalmic Specialists of Michigan we’re using this month to raise awareness and help more people recognize the signs early. Here’s what to watch for:

Common Symptoms of Cataracts:
🔹 Blurry or cloudy vision
🔹 Trouble seeing at night
🔹 Sensitivity to light or glare
🔹 Faded colors
🔹 Frequent changes in your glasses prescription

Cataracts often develop slowly and without pain, but they can impact your independence, safety, and quality of life if left untreated. The good news? Cataract surgery is a quick, safe, and effective way to restore clear vision.
