Danielle is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who works with couples, families, and individuals. She is especially passionate about helping people improve their relationships—whether that’s with a partner, family members, or themselves. At Blackbird, we take pride in providing quality mental health services to our clients and the community. Meet Arielle! Arielle is a warm and integrative therapist with advanced training in Trauma Play, expressive therapy, and play therapy. Arielle is passionate in working with children and adolescents, but also provides guidance to parents, including those navigating postpartum anxiety and depression, recognizing the essential connection between caregiver wellness and a child’s emotional world. Arielle blends child-centered nondirective play therapy with directive play, expressive arts, and sensory-based techniques, always guided by each client’s developmental needs and personal strengths.

Additionally, she works with adults of all ages, couples, and families, supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, anger management, attachment concerns, identity development, and life transitions. These days, we are seeing an increasing number of clients reporting distress related to current political events. People report feeling restless, helpless, frustrated, angry, and scared in light of recent events and situations in the news. One thing to help get you through is to focus on is what you CAN control versus what you CAN'T. Staying suspended in a state of worry will only exhaust you, so it's best to practice self-soothing skills and focusing on what you can do within your own space in the world to cope.
