These are the cremains of Virginia Huston, beloved mother of my dear friend Pamela and acclaimed actress of the 40's. She was famous for starring alongside Robert Mitchum in Out of the Past - 1947 and many other Film Noir favorites.
Virginia died in 1981 and has been in her temporary plastic urn ever since.
I discovered Virginia in a box in the garage and brought her into the light, found a simple linen bag and some flowers, lit some candles and said a prayer.

I pondered all the other ancestors growing moldly in basements and garages across America.
Please, if this applies to yours, set them free this Spring. Throw a party in their honor...put them on display then scatter them to the four directions.
Time to let go.
