Welcome to The Teal Yogi – where healing meets empowerment. 🌿✨
We specialize in trauma-sensitive yoga and meditation, offering a safe, supportive space to reconnect with your mind, body, and soul. Much like yoga, it embodies a balance between rejuvenation and serenity. Yoga offers us strength when we feel weak, community when we feel isolated, and a voice when we feel silenced. It heals the body when we are injured and supports the mind when we are struggling. Yoga is a journey to rediscover our true selves and feel whole again. At The Teal Yogi, we know how powerful that journey can be. We’re committed to providing a space where you can reconnect with your body and mind through thoughtful, trauma-sensitive practices. With anatomy-based, conscious movement techniques and meditative exercises, our classes are designed to support healing from physical and emotional trauma. Our mission is to empower each individual on their path to healing and self-discovery. Whether you're joining us for a group class, workshop, or private session, you’ll find a welcoming, safe space where healing meets empowerment.

You ever come home from a looooong day and the dishes have staged a coup? I speed-ran a whole true-crime episode in my head — dramatic music, wild accusations — and then I remembered something radical: breathe. (Also snacks.)

If your brain goes a little dark this Halloween, bring it to class — we’ll turn that energy into something oddly calming and very human. First class FREE — https://thetealyogi.com/free-class 🕯️🧘‍♀️

Ever feel like your body is constantly yelling at you to slow down — and you just keep ignoring it?

This year, my body has been my toughest teacher. Some days it’s a whisper. Some days it’s a full-blown wall of fatigue, pain, or tension that I can’t push through. I’ve learned the hard way that ignoring it only costs me more — more exhaustion, more overwhelm, more heartbreak over what my body can’t do that day.

Living with chronic pain or trauma isn’t about weakness. It’s about learning to listen, to honor limits, and to regulate a nervous system that doesn’t always cooperate. Somatic movement, gentle yoga, breathwork, journaling, and even physical therapy or myofascial release have become my tools for reconnecting with myself — for reclaiming safety in a body that sometimes feels unsafe.

It’s not easy. Some days I override. But each moment I choose to pause and listen, I learn something new about what it means to truly care for myself.

Last week’s post hit a nerve — and I understand why.

So many of you reached out sharing your own stories of being dismissed, misunderstood, or failed by the healthcare system. Others just messaged to say, “I had no idea.” Both meant the world.

Living with an invisible illness can be incredibly isolating. You can look “fine” and still be fighting your body every single day — searching for support, answers, or simply a moment of peace.

I didn’t create The Teal Yogi because of this journey.
But being part of a community that understands everyone has a story — whether you’re navigating something emotional, physical, or both — makes a huge difference.

✨ Your first class is on us. Come see what it feels like to move, breathe, and be supported — exactly as you are.
