Mark Patrick Weathers was born on June 22, 1984, and passed away on July 13, 2025. Mark always considered Lockport, New York, his true hometown, the place he was born and raised, loved his family, and ultimately where his life and memory will be honored. Before building his career in New York City, Mark earned his business degree from Oral Roberts University, where he made lifelong friends who, in this challenging time, have shown up from all over the world for him and in loving support of his family.
Mark was one of those rare people who genuinely appreciated the complexity, awkwardness, and even absurdity of human behavior and family dynamics. His top-tier, understated sense of humor reflected this and made him effortlessly likeable and relatable to anyone who knew him. Because of this, few people were aware of the challenges he faced throughout his life, and his passing is not only shocking in its finality but in the reality of the personal pain he tried to shield from those he loved. Mark also had a heart for those facing their own challenges and the more vulnerable among us, especially children, the elderly, and people with intellectual disabilities. He is and will be deeply missed, remembered for his observations and humor, as well as his sincerity, kindness, and quiet strength.
Mark is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Neil and Shirley Miller, and survived by his mother, Anne Miller, sister, Jamie Weathers, brother, Kyle Miller, and half sister Mary. As well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. in Lockport, New York, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 2 p.m.
