Mental health funding decisions are being made right now-
and the outcome will shape what support looks like in our communities for the year ahead.
Earlier this week, the Mental Health Association was in Albany for Mental Health Matters Day, advocating directly with local and state legislators as the state budget deadline approaches.
These conversations are about more than numbers.
They are about access to crisis services, recovery programs, prevention education, and the everyday supports that help people stay connected, safe, and well.
Every day, we see the impact of mental health challenges on individuals, families, first responders, veterans, students, and community members working to navigate life’s hardest moments.
We also see the difference that timely, compassionate support can make.
Advocacy is one way we help ensure that the needs of our communities remain part of critical decision making.
We want to hear from you:
Why does mental health matter in your life or in your community?
What is one mental health support you wish more people had access to?
Your voice helps keep this conversation moving forward. 💚
