Hello, my name is Cynthia Thomas and I am the owner and Lead massage therapist at Locust Grove Wellness. We recently celebrated our 9 Year business anniversary. We have had the pleasure of creating a tight knit community and have listened to the requests of offering more mind-body services. I'm happy to announce that we are open for registration and seeking individuals that are searching for a quiet and serene atmosphere to experience their yoga practice. Our class is small and we prefer to keep it intimate and personal. Grace is a wonderful instructor that has had exposure to learning and practicing yoga through her global travels. UPDATE: All kitties have been adopted!

Here is the latest family that we have had the pleasure of fostering through Squishy Face Crew. Miss Campfire and her 5 floofy ninjas will be available for adoption in about 2 weeks. She was rescued from a landfill and is grateful to be in a safe and loving temporary home. These kittens are bunches of curiosity and fun and are very warm and friendly. Mom is sweet and not shy at all. Please consider adopting in pairs because they need their bestie to enjoy life with. Check out their pics!

Our Story

Hi there! I’m Cynthia and I truly love our story. We are a mom and daughter duo. We both graduated from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program in CT. We both worked for an incredible agency called The Kennedy Center in CT. Elizabeth, my mom, served adults with special needs and I served young children with developmental delays.

I decided to go into massage school to learn how skilled massage therapy could benefit the special needs community. Talking with my mom about it sparked her curiosity and interest as well. We both studied and graduated together. Everyone in school would talk about how we would open something up together one day. I, on the other hand, wasn’t so sure. I guess you could say I was nervous about becoming a business owner.

Fast forward three years later. We moved down to VA to begin our journey as a small business serving our community with chronic pain and discomfort. We specialize in neck and back pain and discomfort because we personally understand living with each of these conditions.

We grew to a larger space with a classroom to better serve the Locust Grove area with creative workshops. We offer health and wellness classes as well as workshops to share self care tips for improving our quality of life.
