Henry County Board of Education/ Henry County Parks and Recreation Georgia Storm Wheelchair Football team is getting ready for the 2026 American Association of Adapted Sports Programs (AAASP) football season! Our athletes are excited to start another season of competition, teamwork, and determination.

🏆🏀🌩 CHAMPIONS! Georgia Storm Wins the AAASP/GHSA State JV Wheelchair Basketball Championship! 🌩🏀🏆

What an incredible game! Georgia Storm brought the energy, teamwork, and determination to the court and came away with a 31–16 victory over the Clark Classic City Dawgs to win the AAASP/GHSA Wheelchair Basketball Championship!

Our athletes played with heart from start to finish, supporting one another and leaving everything on the court. This championship is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and resilience this team has shown all season long.

We are so proud of these athletes and everything they accomplished this season. Congratulations, Georgia Storm Champions! 💙🌩💪

Today, Henry County Parks and Recreation Wheelchair Sports was thrilled to pick up adapted track & field equipment from Barry Ewing at Eagle Sportschairs. They continue to build superior equipment for numerous adaptive sports!

The equipment was then delivered to Hampton High School, where student athlete Ja'Corian Carter will be representing Henry County Schools in its Adaptive Sports. Her program is managed by the American Association of Adapted Sports Programs through its partnership with with GHSA.

Today's ventures represent inclusiveness at the highest level. Thank you AAASP, Eagle Sportschairs, Henry County Schools, and Coach Hill at Hampton High for a partnership of empowerment!!!

Join us this Saturday for the Junior Varsity Wheelchair Basketball Semi-Finals and Championship this weekend!
Games will be held at Clarke Middle School this weekend in Athens!
Come watch the Wolfpack vs. the Dawgs at 11 am; Lions vs. the Storm at 1 pm -- winners will advance to the JV Wheelchair Basketball Finals at 3:00 pm!

For $15, you can purchase a Digital Dozen Certificate that can be redeemed for a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts at any Krispy Kreme location. Even better — up to 50% of each purchase goes directly to support our athletes!

These funds help us purchase equipment, uniforms, and support team events like our end-of-season banquet and other team needs.

If you’d like to contribute or make a donation to support our athletes, please contact the coach or an athlete’s parent to place your order. Every purchase helps our team continue to grow and compete!
