Today begins the year of the Horse, with festivities lasting until February 27th, celebrating good fortune and the promise of a good year filled with possibilities and quick change. You may see red colored decorations on graves celebrating Lunar New Year here at Cherokee Memorial. Whether or not you observe this special time of year, we wish you all the peace and prosperity of the Year of the Horse!

As the holiday season comes to a close, we would like to remind you that our flower pick up schedule is about to return to normal. Flowers that have been decorating your loved one's grave or crypt space will be picked up on either Wednesday, January 7 or Thursday, January 8th, 2026. The day will match your regular day of the week for pickup. Please make sure you have collected any decorations you wish to keep before then.
