Why would a baby need to be adjusted?
First it’s always important that an evaluation is performed to see if an adjustment is needed in the first place, and if there are any other health issues that may need to be addressed by another type of doctor. There is a lot of pushing and pulling that’s involved in the birthing process that can put pressure on a baby’s spine and may cause vertebral misalignments and soft tissue imbalances. Also babies are in car seats a lot which may not be the best thing for their spines. If I detect any spinal problems gentle movements are use to help restore the alignment and function of the joints and soft tissues. I also don’t treat or cure anything. My goal is to restore healthy function and balance in the body. Many health issues improve once function is restored.

I’m often asked how I adjust babies? Here I’m adjusting a 3 week old baby. Baby Theo has done great! We use very gentle movements and techniques. Often times the baby will sleep through the entire treatment.

This precious 14 day old girl was having a little trouble with colic. We see babies for many reasons most importantly to start them off with a healthy spine and nervous system. The adjustments are gentle and babies will often sleep right through them.

Rosie was a little apprehensive at first but after watching mom get adjusted a few times she wanted to give it a try. Now she enjoys her regular chiropractic adjustments.
Kids adjustments are very gentle and never forced or rushed. We love seeing little ones in our office.
