From 365 Days of Healing:
"Rituals bring on a different meaning after the loss of someone special. Cooking their favorite meal, setting the table in a certain manner and having family sit in an assigned seat can be considered a ritual.
The goal is to honor and memorialize your loved one by doing something special as a tribute to them and as an expression of gratitude or praise. Some people choose to perform rituals on special occasions whereas others do so at their own discretion as a milestone.
Whether you choose to honor your loved one through a morning ritual, a prayer at mealtime, listening to a special song before running a road race or as part of a holiday celebration, consider the gesture a special way of spending time with your loved one."
