This quote floats around in yoga circles every so often. Maybe you've even seen it before. It has become a point of inspiration for many and a reminder to show up especially when life gets wavy.
I was reminded of this quote when I was reviewing one of our upcoming workshops. Sarah is leading a watercolor workshop next Saturday, April 18th. And the focus is the very first chakra, Muladhara, or the root chakra. Let's talk about it.
The root chakra is the first of seven main chakras, or energy centers, in the body. It governs our sense of safety, stability and grounding. Associated with survival, it makes sense this chakra comes first. It creates a grounded foundation for all other energy centers to be experienced and expressed.
Sarah is an amazing teacher, guide and artist. She guided people through a watercolor workshop at Yoga and Soul Festival last September. One participant said, "She [Sarah] got us to create and think, dig deeper and challenged us off the mat."
This workshop blends guided meditation and discussion with fluid watercolor techniques. You'll learn basic techniques, translating symbols like the four-petaled lotus and the stable square into personal abstract works of art.
No prior experience in art or yoga is necessary - only a curious mind!
This workshop is intended to be one of many as Sarah guides you through exploration of all seven chakras. You won't want to miss this foundational exploration and creative expression!
Bend, so you don't break and dig your roots deep, sweet ones 🌱🤍
