Boys & Girls Clubs are there to provide a safe place to learn and grow, as well as help the youth establish on going relationships with caring adult professionals. This is accomplished by providing the members with life enhancing programs and character development experiences. The programs that the Boys & Girls Club offers fall within the following core program areas. Character & Leadership Development

VOLUNTEER SHOWCASE - Meet Catherine V., a dedicated volunteer with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County since March 2025.

Catherine serves as both a Tutor and Mentor at our Lodi Clubhouse, bringing her background in international business, architecture, and sales to inspire our youth. She’s fluent in French and enjoys giving back to the community. Catherine has also expanded her volunteer efforts as a Culinary Volunteer at our CAAP program at Hackensack Middle School.

We are proud to have been recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America at the North East Leadership conference, for earning the top spot in the Northeast region for Summer JAM 2025 advocacy!

Our members, staff, and community showed the power of raising youth voices and championing their future. Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide engaged in 750+ interactions with elected officials to advocate for youth this summer.

Thank you Rep Josh Gottheimer for visiting our Hackensack Clubhouse yesterday afternoon. Congressman Gottheimer visited with members, taking the time to check out a basketball game in the gym and make his own lava lamp during a fun STEM activity. He also talked to the Kids about his job and how laws are made. If you can't tell from the photos, our Club Kids loved the visit!

Big thanks and a loud shout out to Bergen Volunteers for their support of our Back to School Supply Drive this year. The Bergen Volunteers team packed and donated 100 backpacks full of supplies this summer and organized a recent school supply drive with an awesome team at Sensationnel in Moonachie, who donated 100 gift bags of school supplies. We appreciate you all so much!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County provide a safe place for at-risk children and teens to go during out of school hours and throughout the summer, where they participate in life enhancing programs, learn life skills, receive academic support and encouragement, have a healthy snack or meal, and build positive relationships with caring adult professionals. Through the programs that are offered, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County tries to provide members with a sense of belonging, usefulness, and confidence.
