I saw him after multiple doctors, a specialist, a procedure, and a couple of ER trips were unable to find the source of my pain. What is a Nurse Practitioner?

Nurse Practitioners are an important part of a healthcare team. They are able to provide quality care in a variety of settings such as primary care, urgent care, and other hospital and outpatient settings. They are licensed as advanced practice registered nurses with board certification in areas such as family practice, pediatrics, geriatrics, psych/mental health, women's health, oncology, and others. They practice independant or as a team to assess, diagnos, treat both chronic and acute illness, and participate in wellness and disease prevention.

Meet the team!!

Laurel is excited to be a part of the Abundant Family Practice team. She comes with many years of office experience and enjoys working with the patients and staff. Laurel grew up in Cache Valley, and enjoys having her kids and grandkids close by. She enjoys boating, mountain biking, hiking, baking cinnamon rolls, hanging out with family and friends, and snuggling up with a blanket and a good book.

Dalan Speth is trained as a Phlebotomist and greatly enjoys working with patients! Dalan was born and raised in Cache Valley and loves anything outdoors. He enjoys everything from camping to fishing to snowboarding and when not working with his dad, he will be found out enjoying the woods or the ski slopes.

Yes! A long term relationship with a primary care provider can help with decreasing health costs and decreasing hospital and ER visits. Meeting with a primary care provider can also help with early recognition of disease and improve management of chronic illness!

Meet your Medical Provider: Chad Speth is a Cache Valley Native, born and raised in Providence Utah. He and his lovely wife are the parents of five boys. Chad enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. You’ll find him at his happiest when spending time with his family, on a tractor doing yard work, or serving others including providing medical care to his patients.

Chad Speth has been a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner for nearly two decades. He is experienced in treating patients of all ages in primary care, urgent care, and in the emergency department. He also has worked extensively with people suffering from eating disorders and a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, insomnia, and many more.
