Have you ever wondered why certain foods, routines, or seasons affect you differently than others?

In this introductory workshop, we’ll explore the foundations of Ayurveda, the 5,000-year-old system of medicine from India that views health as a dynamic balance between body, mind, and the natural world.

You’ll learn about the three primary constitutional types—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—and begin discovering your own unique dosha through guided reflection and discussion.

During this class, we will explore:
• The core principles of Ayurveda

• The qualities of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha

• How to recognize your dominant dosha

• Signs of imbalance in everyday life

• Simple Ayurvedic self-care practices you can begin immediately

You’ll leave with practical, accessible tools to support digestion, sleep, energy, and overall balance using small daily rituals inspired by Ayurveda.

This class is perfect for beginners and anyone curious about natural health, yoga, body-mind practices, or seasonal self-care.

You’ll take home a bottle of Ayurvedic oil for your own Springtime self care ritual. 💕🌸

Wednesday, March 25 at 6:00 pm. Hope to see you there! Registration is required -

Oh my gosh, well... It’s hard to put this into words… but my book is here. 🤍
Somatic Ayurvedic Bodywork has been a long time in the making. It is shaped by clinical practice, study, teaching, and so many hours at the table listening to the body. This work brings together classical Ayurveda, intuitive and mindful bodywork, energetic & marma awareness, and nervous system understanding in a way that feels practical for massage therapists. It reflects how I’ve learned to practice, by meeting the client where they are, rather than applying a protocol to chase results. Honestly, it’s about presence. Listening. Pacing and supporting nervous system regulation instead of forcing change.

Beginning this year, it will serve as the companion text for my Somatic Ayurvedic Bodywork continuing education classes. This is the foundation we’ll be building from together. If you feel called to deepen your work in this way, I would love to have you join me! I'm so happy to offer this!

The link to purchase the book and view the upcoming course schedule is in my bio.

Or, if you're on facebook, just follow this link and it will take you to the book on Amazon. Love you all. Thanks for hanging with me through this journey.

One of the most comforting bowls of nourishment I know.

Pongal is a South Indian festival of gratitude honoring the Sun, the earth, and the abundance of the harvest. In 2026, Pongal falls on Wednesday, January 14 (and many families celebrate across a traditional 4-day festival, Jan 14–17).

Sweet Pongal (Sakkarai Pongal) is slow-cooked rice + mung dal, traditionally sweetened and finished with ghee + cardamom. It’s like sweet kitchari. This is the kind of sweetness that grounds and restores—especially in winter or during busy, depleted seasons.

— Why it’s so healing right now:
• Warm + stabilizing for Vata (stress, dryness, scattered energy)
• Builds ojas (deep reserves, glow, resilience)
• Gentle nourishment when served warm
• A nervous system exhale in a bowl

🥣 Sweet Pongal (my simple milk version)
Ingredients:
½ cup rice (white or basmati)
¼ cup yellow split mung dal
3–4 cups milk or milk alternative - or half milk half water. (Or even just water!)
3–4 Tbsp ghee
½ tsp cardamom
pinch of salt
cashews + raisins, dates (optional)

Sweetener options (choose your favorite):
✨ jaggery (classic + mineral-rich)
✨ maple syrup
✨ coconut sugar
✨ brown sugar
✨ honey (add at the end, never boiled)

Method:
Rinse rice + dal
Simmer slowly in milk until very soft + porridge-like (stir often)
Stir in sweetener + cardamom + pinch of salt
Finish with ghee + (optional) ghee-toasted cashews/raisins/dates

Serve it warm.
Eat slowly.
Let it count as ritual. 🖤🌿

Happy Pongal 🌞🌾🪔

Lymphatic drainage (MLD) is gentle and relaxing massage that stimulates the lymphatic system, a vital component of the immune system.

By encouraging the flow of lymph fluid, MLD can help to:
* Enhance immune function: The lymphatic system is crucial for transporting immune cells throughout the body. MLD helps to optimize this process, allowing immune cells to reach infection sites more efficiently.

* Promote detoxification: The lymphatic system helps remove waste products and toxins from the body. By improving lymph flow, MLD aids in detoxification, reducing the overall burden on the immune system.

* Reduce inflammation: Chronic inflammation can suppress immune function. MLD can help to reduce inflammation, creating a more optimal environment for immune response.

While more research is needed, existing studies suggest a correlation between lymphatic drainage and immune function. For instance:
* Increased lymphocyte count: Some studies have shown an increase in lymphocyte count (immune cells) following lymphatic drainage sessions.
* Reduced inflammation markers: MLD has been shown to decrease levels of inflammatory markers in the body.
