🟣🟣 September is World Alzheimer’s Month, dedicated to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease—a progressive brain disorder and the most common cause of dementia.
Affecting over 6 million Americans, it leads to memory loss, confusion, and behavioral changes. While typically seen in older adults, early-onset cases can impact people in their 40s or 50s. The disease places significant emotional, physical, and financial strain on patients, families, and caregivers.
Early detection is especially critical. Know the warning signs:
🔹 Memory loss that disrupts daily life
🔹 Difficulty with planning or problem-solving
🔹 Confusion about time or location
🔹 Trouble with visual perception or judging distance
🔹 Struggling with words or repeating phrases
🔹 Misplacing items and inability to retrace steps
