43 years together. And now, she walks forward alone.

Sharon once said, “We never gave up on each other… We’re just meant to be.”

A note from Dawn:

For every "wister" —every widowed sister of mine -- who’s known deep love and deeper loss—this moment speaks to more than fame. It’s a reminder of the strength it takes to carry on.

For me, it has been over 16 years. And still, love shows up—in memory, in legacy, in moments like these. All those feelings are represented here in this one photo of Sharon.

We honor what was. We stand for what still matters. And we walk together, even when the path feels quiet. A sisterhood built through love, silence, resilience, and memory.

We hold their love.

We keep going—together.

This photo, taken during Black Sabbath’s final concert, Back To The Beginning, is among the most powerful images from that historic night. Sharon and Ozzy spent a lifetime facing the world together, side by side. Now, as a wave of love from Ozzy’s fans surrounds her, Sharon draws strength from their support during this heartbreaking time. Thank you, Sharon, for all you have given.

We didn’t just watch Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan growing up—we felt them.

Ozzy’s voice blasted through our cassette decks. Hulk Hogan flexed on Saturday mornings, telling us to eat our vitamins and never give up. They were loud, wild, and larger than life. And to us, they felt like they’d always be here.

But time reminds us: even legends aren’t immortal.

Ozzy. Hulk. Icons of youth, now memories. And with their passing comes that strange, quiet ache—the realization that death doesn’t care how famous or strong you are. It comes for us all.

Still, Hogan left us this reminder:
“I woke up and realized life is great and people are awesome, and life is worth living.”
~Hulk Hogan

So, let’s crank up the music. Let’s laugh louder, hug tighter, flex a little more boldly.

Because while we’re here—this wild, weird life is worth it.

We don’t all grieve the same, but we all grieve someone worth remembering.

Mike Hankins lived a life that mattered—to family, to friends, and to anyone who ever sat with him by the creek or shared his famous pie.

On Monday, we will come together not just to say “see you later, Mike,” but to remind each other why his life was significant, and why gathering makes the sorrow just a little easier to bear. We leave the chaos of life behind and focus on the man we want to honor in all we say and do.

22 days ‘til school starts.

Legacy isn’t just what we leave behind—it’s what we live now.
It’s backyard talks, ice cream runs, and the laughter we carry with us. These small, simple moments? They’re the ones that matter most.

🎵 When we share a song, it's a powerful one. Matthew West’s 18 Summers Music Video is a gentle nudge to slow down and make the time—because time won’t make itself.

At Fisher Funeral Chapel, we believe legacy begins with the memories we’re making today. So, before summer slips away and school starts back up, let’s choose joy, connection, and togetherness.

Get out there and enjoy life!

Auction 101
The 4-H livestock Auction begins at 5:30 p.m. today in the Exhibition Building at the Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds. If you’ve never participated before, here’s an easy way to- you can be a part of a buyer’s group. 4-Hers receiving Champion and Reserve Champion often sell their livestock earning top dollars when several donate in a buyer’s group. You can designate what you want to spend and make a check out to the Cass County 4-H Fair Association. Or you can register as a bidder prior to the start and add your bid number to the buyers list so you can be billed or pay at the auction when you’re ready to leave. There are also buyer lists for 10-year 4-Hers like our staff member, Drew Sailors. Just let us know if you’d like to be a part of Drew’s group.

If you’ve never participated would like to bid - you need to come early and get an auction number. You can buy and send the animal to the truck - you only pay for what you bid minus the market value. If you want to keep the meat, you pay the full auction amount and ask that it to be sent to the locker plant and call to arrange it cut to your specifications and pay a processing fee. Some categories like poultry and rabbits allow you to take it with you or return it to the 4Her. You actually could do that with any species, allowing the 4-Her to keep it or resell it and earn more money. (If you’re nervous about bidding - seek us out - we’ll help you.)

To spread the love of 4-H and to honor those kids who have devoted ten years to making the best better, we started the 4-H Legacy Award. We combine all your donations along with the interest earned from the 4-H Legacy CCCF fund Jacob Fisher established in 2008 plus our own donation to ensure that every Cass County 4-H member completing ten years receives at least $100. If everyone pitches in - we can award them much more as a way of showing them that their community values their hard work. I believe there’s around 36 ten-year members this year! So we need your help! The instructions for donating to the Legacy Fund is found below. Copies of this form are available at the 4-H office in the Cloverleaf building and at the auction table. You can designate if you want to give in honor of someone or in memory or someone who loved 4-H. What a beautiful legacy to be able to pay it forward.
