🎉📋 Collaboration, leadership, and a commitment to excellence were on full display at our Medical Executive Committee Annual Meeting.

The meeting included important discussions, educational presentations, future planning, Medical Bingo, a red carpet moment, a special song from our CEO, and even a little rap, proving that work and celebration can go hand in hand.

We were also honored to recognize Dr. Shah for his many years of service and lasting contributions to Totally Kids.

Through teamwork, innovation, and a shared commitment to our mission, we continue creating an environment where residents thrive, families feel supported, and staff feel valued. ❤️✨

Last week, Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital celebrated Hospital Week with a fun-filled week dedicated to appreciating our amazing staff.

From family picnic-themed decorations and daily snacks to yummy food, games, prizes, and ending the week with a carnival celebration, it was a wonderful week full of laughter, teamwork, and appreciation.

Hospital Week gave us the opportunity to recognize the compassion, dedication, and hard work our staff show every single day for our residents and families. Every department plays an important role in creating the supportive and caring environment that makes TK so special.

Thank you to all of our incredible staff for everything you do and to our Employee Activities Team for putting together such an amazing week for everyone to enjoy. Your hard work and creativity helped make the week truly memorable.

Looking for a meaningful and unique summer opportunity for your child?

Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is now accepting interest for our Youth Summer Volunteer Program for ages 11–16. This program gives youth the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and make meaningful connections while helping support fun activities and experiences for our residents.

It’s a summer filled with compassion, teamwork, growth, and unforgettable moments. ☀️💙

Smiles, spring outfits, and lots of teamwork made Picture Day at Totally Kids such a special success this year.

A huge thank you to the team for once again providing beautiful spring photos for our patients at Totally Kids, Circlebrook, and in the L.I.F.E. Program through Redlands Unified School District.

For many of our children and young adults, professional photos are more than just pictures. They become treasured keepsakes for families, milestone memories, school photos, room decorations, graduation displays, and reminders of growth, strength, and joy during difficult journeys. Moments like these help create a sense of normalcy and celebration that every child deserves.

Picture Day also takes a village. From getting residents dressed and camera-ready to coordinating schedules, transporting residents, fixing hair, encouraging smiles, and keeping everything moving smoothly, so many staff members came together to make the day possible. Thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes and stepped in wherever needed. The teamwork truly showed.

We are so excited to see the pictures come in and cannot wait for our families and staff to enjoy them.

An unforgettable night filled with joy, celebration, and so many meaningful moments… our residents from Subacute and Circlebrook had the opportunity to attend the Light & Power Disability Prom hosted by Trinity Church in Redlands, and it was everything you would hope for and more.

Our residents showed up dressed to impress in formal attire, proudly representing the “Celebrating America” theme in red, white, and blue. The corsages and boutonnieres added such a special touch and made the night feel even more memorable.

We are so excited to share that Bryan was awarded Best Dancer and Alyssa received Best Dressed. Seeing our residents recognized, smiling, and fully enjoying the moment is exactly what this is all about.

One moment that truly stayed with us was a mother who shared she had once been told her son might not live past a certain age. Watching him out on the dance floor, happy and full of life, was something she never thought she would witness. She shared how proud and grateful she felt, and it was a reminder of just how meaningful these opportunities are.

A heartfelt thank you to our staff who adjusted their schedules and came in to make this night possible. Your flexibility, dedication, and heart created an experience our residents and families will never forget. And thank you to Trinity Church, Redlands CA for creating such a beautiful, inclusive, and joy-filled evening.

Haircut Day is always a good one 💇‍♂️

Fresh cuts, a boost of confidence, and time to hang out and laugh with the guys.

Thank you to Uppercuts Barbershop in Loma Linda for coming to Totally Kids each month. You give our residents more than a haircut, you give them time to feel good, connect, and just enjoy the moment.

A little self care goes a long way 🤍🤍

At Totally Kids, we are proud to support the emotional and spiritual well-being of our patients alongside their medical care. We’re excited to share that Interfaith Church Services are now being offered regularly with Chaplain Gene present.

Our first service took place this past Sunday, where residents heard a meaningful message about not being alone, received prayer, and spent time in fellowship with their peers. It created a calm and supportive space for reflection and connection.

Open to all faiths and beliefs, these services focus on hope, encouragement, and resilience in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

In a healthcare setting, moments like this matter. They can bring comfort, reduce feelings of isolation, and create connection for patients, families, and staff. Patients, families, and staff also have the opportunity to speak with a chaplain for additional support.

Service dates and times will be posted throughout the hospital ahead of time. Patients who attend will have prior family consent, and our Child Development Department will coordinate participation.

Our Annual Easter Celebration took place on Good Friday, and it was one of those days you wish you could bottle up.

From egg hunts and a lively petting zoo from Up Ranch to face painting, photos with the Easter Bunny, and families gathered all around, there was joy in every corner. Seeing our residents smile, laugh, and fully enjoy the moment is what it’s all about.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this day possible. Because of your generosity, we’re able to create experiences that go beyond care and truly feel like childhood.

Every 9 seconds, someone in the United States sustains a brain injury. For children and families, that moment can change everything.

Our interdisciplinary team works together across acute and subacute rehabilitation to meet each child where they are. From physical, occupational, and speech therapy to play-based and sensory-rich activities, every step is designed to help children grow, learn, and thrive.

During National Brain Injury Awareness Month, we’re proud to stand alongside families, raise awareness, and support the journey toward recovery for every child we serve.

Another special milestone at Totally Kids

Recently, we celebrated Victor as he transitioned home to begin his next chapter. Moments like this never get old and always remind us why we do what we do.

Victor’s journey has been filled with dedication, and it was especially meaningful to see his family so involved every step of the way. That support made such a difference and was truly a big part of his success.

While we are so excited for him and his family, he will definitely be missed around here.
