Our Annual Easter Celebration took place on Good Friday, and it was one of those days you wish you could bottle up.

From egg hunts and a lively petting zoo from Up Ranch to face painting, photos with the Easter Bunny, and families gathered all around, there was joy in every corner. Seeing our residents smile, laugh, and fully enjoy the moment is what it’s all about.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this day possible. Because of your generosity, we’re able to create experiences that go beyond care and truly feel like childhood.

Every 9 seconds, someone in the United States sustains a brain injury. For children and families, that moment can change everything.

At Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, we believe recovery is possible and it starts with early, specialized care. With the brain’s incredible ability to adapt and heal, children can rebuild skills, regain independence, and continue moving forward with the right support.

Our interdisciplinary team works together across acute and subacute rehabilitation to meet each child where they are. From physical, occupational, and speech therapy to play-based and sensory-rich activities, every step is designed to help children grow, learn, and thrive.

During National Brain Injury Awareness Month, we’re proud to stand alongside families, raise awareness, and support the journey toward recovery for every child we serve.

Another special milestone at Totally Kids

Recently, we celebrated Victor as he transitioned home to begin his next chapter. Moments like this never get old and always remind us why we do what we do.

Victor’s journey has been filled with dedication, and it was especially meaningful to see his family so involved every step of the way. That support made such a difference and was truly a big part of his success.

While we are so excited for him and his family, he will definitely be missed around here.

Wishing you all the best at home, Victor. We know you will continue to thrive 💙

We are getting ready for our Annual Easter Celebration at Totally Kids and would love the community’s help to make the day extra special for our residents.

If you would like to donate, we are currently collecting items for our Easter egg hunt. Helpful donations include plastic eggs, small candy that fits inside eggs, Easter grass, baskets, stickers, small toys, and temporary tattoos that can be placed inside the eggs.

Donations can be dropped off at Reception or the Child Development & Activities Department by March 25.

Every year our residents look forward to this celebration, and your generosity helps create a fun and memorable day filled with smiles, laughter, and a lot of Easter surprises.

Thank you for helping us bring a little extra joy to the children at Totally Kids. 🐰🌷🥚

Recently, we were excited to welcome our local AMR team to Totally Kids. As part of Read Across America, they wanted to spend time with our residents and read stories to the children.

The AMR team gathered with the residents for story time, creating a relaxed and engaging moment where the children could listen, connect, and enjoy the stories together. Our residents always enjoy special visitors, and it was a meaningful way to celebrate the joy of reading.

After story time, the children also had the opportunity to see the ambulance up close. For many of them, it was exciting to see the vehicle they often notice in the community and learn more about the important role paramedics play in helping people.

Visits like this create special moments for our residents while also introducing them to the helpers in our community.

Thank you to our local AMR team for taking the time to visit Totally Kids and help celebrate Read Across America with our children. 🚑📚 🚑📚

Physical therapy is more than movement. It is strength, confidence, and progress toward meaningful milestones.

From helping children regain mobility in our acute unit to supporting developmental milestones in our subacute program and Totally Infants Program, our physical therapists meet each child where they are and help them move forward.

Through teamwork, compassion, and play based therapy, our rehab team works alongside nursing and other disciplines to ensure every child has the support they need to reach their greatest potential.

We remain grateful for the dedication and heart they bring to every session.

Our Valentine’s Day at Totally Kids felt like stepping into a fairytale.

The Once Upon a Time organization filled our halls with music and magic as Disney princesses visited residents in group and at bedside. They sang favorite songs, posed for pictures, and created one on one moments that had our residents smiling from ear to ear. Seeing those reactions never gets old.

The celebration continued with the Sunshine Group, who brought an interactive story to life and wrapped up the day with a glowstick party that had everyone moving, laughing, and fully in the moment.

Days like this remind us how powerful connection and creativity can be. Thank you to these incredible volunteers for sharing your time, talent, and heart with our residents. You made Valentine’s Day unforgettable.

These past two days have been full of happy and emotional moments 💙

We celebrated two birthdays and two big transitions as 2 residents begin their next chapters outside of TK. Closing one chapter and starting another, all within the same week.

We are so proud of both of them and the progress they have made during their time with us. Being part of their journey has been a privilege, and we know there are good things ahead for each of them.

Happy Birthday, Lucy and Matthew, and best of wishes as you move forward on this new journey. Once a TK kid, always a TK kid 🎉🎂

The music was playing and next thing you know, everyone was dancing.

During our TKids THRIVE Program dance activity, residents were joined by family members and staff for an impromptu dance party. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of moves happening across the room.

Moments like this do more than just look fun. Dancing helps with movement, coordination, and energy, but it also lifts moods and brings people together. Seeing residents laugh and dance alongside the people who care about them is what makes these activities so meaningful.

Good music, great company, and a reminder that joy is part of the work too 💃🎶

Christmas Eve at Totally Kids was filled with excitement and joy as residents opened gifts in their pajamas beside the Christmas tree. Each moment brought smiles, surprises, and the simple magic of the season. Cookie decorating was also available, giving residents a fun and festive activity to enjoy throughout the celebration.

We are incredibly grateful to Mayor Helen Tran, Machado Family Giving , Beauty By Drea , Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House , Sleepy Threads , Tu Tam Group, our beloved bikers from One More From the Heart Run, Dr Preci, Tina Martinez, Katelyn Tapia, and anyone else we missed who helped make this Christmas season so special for our residents.

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with joy and special moments.

Christmas cheer filled Totally Kids as we celebrated our annual holiday party. Festive games, crafts, music, sweet treats, and lots of smiles made the day extra special.

We were thrilled to welcome the princesses from the Once Upon a Time Organization, who sang Christmas carols for our residents, families, and staff and truly set the holiday mood. Santa and Mrs. Claus also made a special visit, spreading cheer and posing for photos that created memories we will treasure. Face painting by Joyful Kids Parties added even more fun and color to the celebration.

So much joy, so many smiles, and a whole lot of holiday magic. 🎄🎅👑
