Robert J. "Bobby" Zimmerman, 60, lifelong resident of Hillside, IL passed away on April 17, 2026.

Beloved son of the late Richard and Elsie (nee Halwachs).

Loving brother of Rick Zimmerman and Joy (Mike) Snider.

Cherished Uncle of Chris and Carly (Tony) Bryan.

Cousin and dear friend of many.

Robert was known by many names, Bob, Bobby, Bobby Z, Zebo and UB just to name a few. He was a kind caring soul who was truly loved by all who knew him.

Bobby was a lifelong resident of Hillside and he loved his hometown so much as a young man he joined the Hillside Emergency Management Service to help out at big village events. Later in life he tried his hand at being a dispatcher for the Hillside Police Department.

Bobby was thrilled to take a position at AGT Global Logistics taking ad placing orders. He was also a part owner in a limousine company called Three Guys Limo as well as part owner in a thoroughbred racehorse.

Bobby was a long-time member of Shriners International, Medina Shriners, DuPage Chapter. He spent countless weekends raising money for the Shriners Children's Hospital. During his time with the Shriners Club he held many positions such as vice president then president. His other joy in life was his annual trip with friends to Pat's Landing in Hayward, WI.

Bobby was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

All services will be private.
