🐾🦁 Today in ABA at Starlight, we had a roaring good time during Zoo Animal Circle Time! 🐘🦒

Our kiddos got creative and made their very own Zoo Animal Trail Mix using a variety of fun animal-shaped snacks! 🐻🍪🦓🦆

During snack time, we focused on intraverbals and making choices through Natural Environment Teaching (NET)—turning a tasty treat into a learning opportunity! 🌟💬

✨April is Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month! ✨

At Starlight ABA, we believe that while autism awareness is necessary, is just the first step! Awareness is a stepping stone for acceptance, understanding, and inclusion! Every individual has unique strengths, perspectives, and potential. It is our mission to spread awareness and advocate for acceptance!

💙 Awareness helps foster understanding, reduce stigma, break down misconceptions, educate communities, and opens the door to advocacy for better resources, services, and support systems for individuals with autism and their families.

💙Acceptance creates a society where autistic individuals are valued, respected, and included for who they are. Acceptance means embracing neurodiversity, challenging stereotypes, and creating environments that accommodate different ways of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world. The goal is not to “fix” autism, but to support autistic individuals in living their most empowered lives!

This month, let’s go beyond awareness—let’s celebrate neurodiversity, amplify autistic voices, and work together to build a more inclusive community.
