“Ballerina Breast Augmentation”

Aesthetic plastic surgery is shifting towards more natural and subtle enhancements. With breast augmentation, many of my patients are requesting “yoga boobs” or “ballerina boobs,” which translates to smaller volume breast implants, typically between 150-250cc, depending on the size and frame of the patient.

I am all-in with this aesthetic. I think these smaller implants deliver a result that is more natural, elegant and timeless. The subtle enhancement in fullness allows these patients to feel more confident in bathing suits and dresses, without the obvious “look” of having a breast surgery.

This patient is 5’5” , 100 lbs and underwent a (“partially under the muscle”) breast augmentation with moderate-profile 200 cc silicone implants.

“Mommy Makeover” with Breast Lift and Implant Exchange, and Tummy Tuck

After 100 lb weight loss, the patient developed a significant amount of excess skin in her breasts and belly. She was down to her goal weight, but sometimes couldn’t wear the clothes she wanted because of her excess skin. She underwent an exchange of her breast implants, to maintain her fullness, along with a breast lift, to reshape the breasts to a more youthful position. She also underwent a tummy tuck and muscle repair to create a flatter belly that shows off her natural musculature that she’s worked so hard to achieve 💪🏽

Breast Lift with Implant Removal

Breast implants aren’t for everyone ! This patient presented to me after having a breast augmentation in the past. She was now bothered by the a) heaviness of her breasts, b) asymmetry, and c) stretched areolae.

She underwent a breast implant removal with breast lift, giving her a result that is more youthful appearing and proportionate to her frame.

Revision Liposuction and Tummy Tuck

As you can see in this “before” photo, lipo-scultpture and etching has its risks. When not done carefully and in the proper candidate, the result can lead to unnatural lines and contour irregularities.

This patient had liposuction alone performed out of country several years ago. She presented to me bothered by the “lumpy-bumpy” look to her belly and unnatural contours. Additionally, she lost 25 lbs and was bothered by some excess skin in this area.

She is now 8 months out from revision liposuction, along with tummy tuck.
