We want to say a big thank you to Lombard Veterinary Hospital and everyone who contributed to the Giving With a Thankful Heart Pet Food Drive. This year's drive brought in an incredible 841 lbs of pet food and supplies for senior pet owners, bringing the campaign's lifetime total to 6,031 lbs. We are so grateful for the generosity of our partners and community.

We are celebrating our 50th Anniversary, and we want anyone part of our organization's history to join the festivities! Through September 2026, our staff and Board Members are making the occasion with celebrations and opportunities to get involved throughout the year. Federal employees and retirees, there is still time to donate to us through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The last day to pledge online has been extended to January 31, but your payroll deduction will fund us all year long!

Seniors at our senior dining at Golconda Indian Restaurant & Banquets had an End of Year Birthday Bash to celebrate the birthdays of anyone who may have missed the opportunity to celebrate throughout the year. 41 seniors had a great time enjoying food and entertainment with one another to finish out the year!

We want to give a huge thank you to our friend, Lois, for donating holiday cards and gift cards to pass out to seniors in our programs. Lois has been a great supporter to DSCC, previously donating homemade blankets and other items for homebound seniors. Thanks to these donations, these senior recipients will be able to receive some cheer this holiday season.

Thank you to students and faculty of College of DuPage for collecting, creating, and donating items for our organization! The pet food and treats collected will benefit senior pet owners, the decorated ornaments will go to homebound seniors, and the decorated aprons will help our staff who handle and serve up food to seniors at our various sites! Thank you so much for your continuous support. Happy Holidays!
