Today we celebrated the first case utilizing our new Electronic Medical Record, part of the biggest technological upgrade in LVMC’s history. Years in the planning, the upgrade involved the replacement of numerous major systems and the training and work of hundreds of employees, guided by our Information Systems and Clinical Informatics team.
The massive expansion kicked off on Friday, and today staff is continuing the implementation, with hospital leadership rounding to various departments to ensure all is going well.
We appreciate the community’s patience, understanding and support during this time.
These enhancements are designed to make your experience with us more efficient, seamless and connected -- for today and the future.
