The Egle House

We are anticipating the opening of the addition to our campus in Lonaconing, MD. The Egle House is a Memory Care focused Assisted Living Facility. We are in the final stages of construction with a projected opening in the Spring/Summer of 2020. It will sit adjacent to the nursing facility on site.

We will provide Memory care services to our citizens of the tri-state region. It is a new building separate from the nursing home and shall offer 16 private suites for its residents. Each room will have private bathrooms with showers as well. The building is over 15,000 square feet and is specifically designed for memory care services. The facility offers an expansive dining room, activity room, and common areas. Amenities include salon services, resident activities, transportation, and restaurant style meals.

The staff are trained in memory care services and shall be under the direction of Gayle Durst, Assisted Living Manager. Ms. Durst has extensive training in memory care services and has her Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology through Ashford University. She has over 20 years experience in long term care. Samantha Jones will be the Delegating Nurse. Samantha has over 30 years experience and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University. The facility is expected to generate over 20 new jobs.

“We are excited to offer this much needed service to the citizens of the tri-state and we are excited to open this new state of the art memory care facility.”, states Jeffery Metz “Care designed specifically for residents with cognitive impairment is lacking in this community and we are pleased to offer it to our friends, neighbors, and families,” he added.
