** Progress Post **

Miss L has been working so hard to recognize and regulate her emotions, especially when becoming upset.

She would become angry when completing a structured challenge. As a result, she would start crying and was unable to redirect or calm.

Today, she was able to stay focused and complete a difficult handwriting task by implementing specific techniques she’s been working hard to master. She was able to express her feelings and redirect her attention in a positive manner allowing her to complete her activities successfully!

We are so proud of you!

Today, we celebrate a huge milestone. One of our patients is graduating from speech therapy! She has worked hard to master her articulation skills and build her expressive and pragmatic language skills. I am incredibly proud of the progress she has made and her commitment to practice. It's been a privilege to be a part of her journey and I can't wait to see all she accomplishes!

Jaxon has been working very hard with OT to address sensory processing difficulties that previously limited his ability to regulate emotions, focus, and transition from a desired task to a structured task. He was avoidant when it came to trialing new foods, making it very hard to meet his nutritional needs.

Today, he is now able to sit down and complete a structured activity for at least 6 mins, he is doing well following directions and is transitioning with minimal cues.

Furthermore, he is now exploring new foods with no aversions and has added several new healthier treats to his diet. We are so proud of you Jaxon!

Last Thursday, we wrapped up our first ever social class just in time for school to start! We’d like to say thank you to the parents for bringing your kiddos each week and we hope they carryover their new skills at school. We’d also like to thank Mr. Noah Rush, OTS for leading this group. We wish everyone a safe and fun school year!

**Progress Post**

Aria was referred to OT to address difficulties with sensory processing. She had a hard time wearing certain types of clothing, communicating her feelings, and working through big emotions.

With the implementation of evidence based interventions, we were able to establish an appropriate plan to address and improve upon these challenges.

In just under 4 months, she has conquered these obstacles! She is now wearing various types of clothing (just in time for fall). Also, She is now able to notice her “triggers” and implement self calming techniques and social skill strategies instead of having adverse reactions! Mrs. Paige is so proud of you!
