Another success story!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Colton has been receiving skilled occupational therapy services due to having visual and fine motor difficulties that were impacting his handwriting and self care skills. He also addressed self regulation skills to better identify his emotions and attend to tasks. Through OT treatment, Colton is now age appropriate with handwriting skills, manual dexterity tasks, dressing skills, dressing fasteners, self feeding, and completing hygiene routines. Furthermore, Colton can regulate his emotions age appropriately, improving attention to task and social skills with peers. We will miss his jokes and pranks, but we are so proud of his hard work and how far he has come! ❤️

A&A tries very hard to accommodate everyone’s needs that we feel fall within our ethics to provide services for. Lately, we have experienced things that the staff are struggling to keep up with. We are like everywhere short staffed and limited time with all the demands of insurance. Please do not destroy our bathrooms. Why can’t people just use the bathroom, wash their hands in a respectful manner?? Do not cuss or be disrespectful when talking to my staff. We are all adults and should be able to discuss matters in a kind respectful way. Do not bring food and drinks into our waiting room. We have had several spills and things left behind to be cleaned up. We are a small business trying our best. Please respect that and be thankful services are available locally. If you are cussing at my staff, you will be discharged from services and your referral will not be accepted. I will not tolerant abuse to my staff. Also, respect the bathrooms or we will have no choice but to not have a public restroom available (which would be the one in the waiting area only). This also has nothing to do with anyone who has a disability or any kind of problems with incontinence. This is grown adults not children I’m referencing. So please don’t feel the need to condemn me in anyway for stating the facts about the disrespect and misuse of the bathrooms. Stop the NO SHOWING appointments - it’s ridiculous to be honest and shame on you. ( Adults know better) DO NOT leave your child while they are in therapy. Our policy states you must remain at the facility while your child is doing therapy. We are not a babysitter. We do require parent input and education about what your child completed and how you can help them with meeting goals at home. We have a high volume of people in and out of our doors and we truly appreciate your business and our customers, but you also have to consider how mentally and physically difficult a therapist and medical office staff jobs are.
You may be thinking gosh this place is rough. No that’s really not it. A&A is a place where we take our jobs serious and try to provide a good service. Which means we have rules that have to be followed.
Our doors are open for anyone needing help and we welcome you! We are mindful of your needs and appreciate you being mindful of ours. We love you all and have a good day!

Another success story!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Cayston has been receiving occupational therapy services due to poor fine motor skills, and poor self regulation which were impacting his attention and social skills. Cayston’s difficulty self regulating also impacted his daily diet with attempting new foods. Eating various food textures was difficult for him, leading to Cayston having a limited number of foods he would eat on a regular basis. Cayston worked hard with his therapist and his Mother helped with carrying over skills learned in sessions at home. Due to this, Cayston now plays with peers age appropriately, has an age appropriate attention span making learning at home and at school easier for him, and can hold a pencil and write age appropriately. Cayston now eats an age appropriate diet with having a large number of consistent foods he will eat daily, and eating multiple foods from each food group. We are all so proud of the hard work Cayston put in and will miss his big personality! ❤️

Another success story!!🥳🥳🥳

Navaeh started therapy due to decreased labial seal, loss of suction, and spillage during bottle feeding. A functional oral motor exam was completed and revealed lip and tongue ties limiting oral skills. Navaeh did have a release procedure with completion of stretches to prevent reattachment during the healing process. Mother also completed stretches at home. She also engaged in oral motor exercises to increase movement, coordination, and strength needed to bottle feed efficiently. Navaeh now has complete labial closure around ni**le to establish a deep latch. She no longer has spillage, and she is able to maintain suction for entirety of feeding with decreased fatigue. Navaeh transitioned to baby food as well, and has now graduated from therapy! Mrs. Sarah is so proud, but misses seeing her sweet face!❤️

Another success story!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Mya has been receiving skilled occupational therapy services for a year, working towards improved self regulation skills and coping strategies. Mya completed the Zones of Regulation program where she learned to identify emotions in herself and with others, and how to utilize sensory tools to assist in coping in daily life scenarios. She also improved her self regulation skills with improving her attention span with long endurance/challenging tasks she would need to complete at school or in the home, such as handwriting, initiating her morning and nightly routines, shoe tying, and initiating play with others. We are so proud of Mya’s hard work! Way to go! ❤️

Another success story!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Adalynn has been receiving skilled occupational therapy services to improve self regulation. She initially had sensory processing difficulties with loud noises, playing with various textures, wearing certain textured clothing, and having her feet off of the ground due to gravitational insecurity, which affected ability to engage in age appropriate play and functional tasks at home. She is now engaging in messy play, wearing clothing without aversions, and climbing onto swings and ladders. She is also now able to attend to tasks for 5 minutes, take turns, and complete challenging tasks. We are so proud of her! ❤️ Way to go Adalynn!
