More OT success stories!!! 🥳🥳🥳

These 3 have worked so hard to meet all of their goals with OT! Noelle and Caspian addressed self regulation impacting their attention and behaviors in the home and community settings. They both completed the Zones of Regulation program and are better able to self regulate and utilize Zone’s tools to calm themselves. Bryanna has been addressing fine motor coordination and hand strengthening to have better handwriting and being able to complete self care tasks that require fine motor coordination. They have all worked so hard and we are so proud of their progress!❤️

Another success story!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Leialani has been receiving skilled OT services for a year. At her evaluation it was found that she was having difficulty processing sensory input and it was impacting her ability to complete play tasks functionally and limiting her fine motor coordination. Leialani had difficulty with transitions between tasks and throughout the clinic, and had difficulty with emotions. Through therapy services, Leialani is now able to complete transitions, hygiene routines, texture play, age appropriate fine motor tasks and play with same age peers. We will miss her, but we are so proud of her accomplishments! ❤️

Another success story!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Caleb has been receiving skilled OT services due to having several sensory avoidance behaviors impacting his diet, self care skills, attention span, and fine motor development. Caleb had a limited diet, had difficulty trying new foods, and could not attend to mealtimes. Furthermore, he had difficulty with dressing skills, bathing tasks, and teeth brushing. Caleb is now able to hold writing utensils age appropriately, he can dress himself, and tolerates hygiene routines. He can now attend to mealtimes, he is trying new foods, and he is eating a more varied diet. We will miss his big personality, but we are so proud of all your accomplishments! ❤️

Another success story!!! 🥳🥳🥳

C**t has been receiving skilled OT services for 2 years. At his evaluation it was found that he had poor hand strength and fine motor skills which impacted his handwriting, dressing skills, school skills and age appropriate play. He was also having difficulty with attention to task and self regulating his emotions. Through therapy services he is now able to write sentences, perform 2-step directions, and complete self care tasks-buttons, zippers, buckles, shoe tying, hygiene routines, and simple chores, all at an age appropriate level. We will miss him, but are so proud of all his hard work! ❤️

Another success story!!🥳🥳🥳

Ethena started therapy to improve her comprehension skills at home and at school. Ethena has made significant improvements with auditory comprehension in conversation and during reading passages to improve her overall communication skills across settings. Ethena met all her communication goals and has graduated from speech therapy! We are so proud of you, Ethena!!🤩

Another success story!!🥳🥳🥳

Milo received direct, skilled speech therapy for the past few years at A&A. Milo worked very hard during sessions with Miss Erin using his personal AAC device and can now select and request desired objects by using his device functionally. He is now using his AAC to communicate basic wants and medical needs across all settings. Miss Erin is so proud of you, Milo!! ❤️

Each year, therapists are required to get continuing education hours by taking courses about topics they need to learn more about. A&A owner, Greta Alexander, received her 5th ASHA ACE award. The ACE is a formal recognition of professionals who have demonstrated their commitment to lifelong learning by earning 7.0 ASHA continuing education units (CEUs) (equivalent to 70 contact hours) within a 36-month period. 🥳🥳🥳
