We can’t end the day without wishing a happy International Paramedic’s Day to our wonderful and amazing paramedics here at PHI1. The wisdom and knowledge they bring to the community and their patient’s is amazing and we are so very thankful that we have them apart of our team.

We would also like to extend a very happy International Paramedic’s Day to the amazing paramedics we get to work alongside on the ground and in the hospitals. We would not be able to do this job without you all and it’s a privilege getting to work alongside you all every day!

While this EMS Week looks a lot different than our EMS Weeks in the past, we don’t want to forget to give the recognition that our EMS deserves. This EMS Week has came just after our community has endured so much devastation, but this devastation has shown just how important and strong our emergency services are. Our EMS stepped up, were available and there at the most dangerous and important time, and they did it with so much grace. We want all of our EMS people to know that we couldn’t do our jobs without them, and you all deserve all the recognition and love in the world🖤💛

Prayers for our community and neighboring community in Somerset. The impact of these tornados is devastating. The airport our base is located at was hit by the tornado but everyone is accounted for and safe.

“An LZ, or landing zone, is a designated area where helicopters can land safely and is a crucial element in air medical operations to ensure the safe transport of patients.”

Ensuring that LZ’s are set up appropriately and safely is required every single time for the safety of our crews and our patients.

Practice makes perfect and there’s nothing that we love more than to get out and do some practice with our local fire departments. We want to give a big thank you to East Bernstadt Fire Department for having us and taking their time to do some training with us.

As we wrap up Nurses Week we would like to wish the happiest of weeks to our nurses here at PHI1. This group of nurses show resilience, passion, hard work, and dedication. We are so thankful that this group gets to serve our community every day.

Not only are we wishing a Happy Nurses Week to our amazing group of nurses, we would like to extend this to the hard working, strong nurses that we get to work with day in and day out.
