UPDATE:
According to Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey, his office assisted the Circleville Police Department with a Missing Person investigation.
On April 1, 2025, Darlynn Sue Buehler 58 years old, out of Circleville, Ohio, was reported missing to the Circleville Police Department by her employer, J.B. Hunt out of Columbus, Ohio. The Circleville Police Department began an investigation into the whereabouts of Darlynn Buehler.
They followed investigative leads which led them to a series of ponds in the area of State Route 762 East Lockbourne, Ohio. The Columbus Police Department’s Underwater Search and Rescue Unit searched two different ponds in the area. A pond on Intermodal Court East was searched and the missing vehicle and the body of Darlynn Buehler were located. Darlynn Buehler was pronounced dead at the scene, by the Pickaway County Coroner’s Office.
Sheriff Hafey would like to thank the Columbus Police Department Underwater Search and Rescue Unit, the Pickaway County Coroner and Scioto Valley Wrecker Service for all their assistance at the scene.
This case will remain under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
