Clients: I will be completely indisposed tomorrow, 7/19, as one of my children is having surgery in St Louis. Thanks from understanding!

I will be out of town 6/28-7/6 and 7/12-7/15. I hope everybody has a great holiday! 🎆

Just a reminder: due to a temporary change in my college and nursing schedule, appts will be worked in on select evenings and weekend days. After July 27th, business will return to normal during the weekdays.

Hello clients! I’m finally back in town from teaching equine dental in Michigan!

Just an FYI: with my schedule being so tight due to college classes and other scheduled plans, and the impending weather for tomorrow (those with barns, I’ll be there as long as it’s not lightning), appts may start getting scheduled or rescheduled for select weekend or evening dates. Over the next month, any appts scheduled on a week day will be moved to a weekend day or evening time after 5pm from June 9th through July 1st. Thanks for being patient. I haven’t had a chance to get back to some of the messages but I am working on that today and tomorrow.

Hello clients! Next week, the weather starts to turn around for a little bit and in March, my RN schedule isn’t so spread out making it easier to get an actual schedule set up. I will be reaching out to everyone on Monday after this weekend to get you scheduled. Thank you for your patience!

Clients that are scheduled for this Saturday, the 22nd, are going to be rescheduled for 3/8 at the same times. It’s supposed to be -1 that morning.

💥 Late night ramblings: just an FYI.

I try to be as accommodating as possible with rescheduling appointments. I know things come up, I have them come up as well. Right now, for the next couple of months, dates to reschedule are pretty slim. I will do my best to get a date that works for both of us should we need to reschedule. I appreciate everyone’s patience when it takes me a little while to get back to you. I am working an RN position on night shift for the remainder of the winter months as well as through the spring months which is why I’ve reduced my days to 2-3 per week. Things should return to business as usual by summer. 💥

It has come to my attention that no one is able to reach me on my phone as all calls are going straight to voicemail. I have no idea why this is happening, I’ve changed settings and it is still diverting calls. Text me. I’m getting those!

These freezing temperatures have me messed up! Wednesday morning they’re calling for -6 real temp with -20 windchills. Morning clients, you will be rescheduled. I’ll reach out tomorrow when I get off my shift tonight. I know many are getting frustrated by me moving appointments, I can’t control the weather. There are some folks who have no problem working in single digit weather, I’m not one of them. It’s not safe. Welcome to winter! Hopefully February is warmer!

Good morning, everyone! Just some news and updates!

💥 Effective immediately: PAYMENT is due at time of service unless otherwise arranged. I will no longer be accepting credit card/debit card payments. All payments must be cash or check unless otherwise arranged for Venmo.

💥 I am going to be arranging my schedule down to two-three days a week effective immediately for routine clients. (Doesn’t impact my primary position with the rescue). The days will rotate however my Monday clients will remain on mondays unless there’s a major holiday. I have been saying this for the last few years and am finally going to pull the trigger. I will continue to see the clients I have, I am no longer accepting new clients at this time. I am arranging the schedules starting today so if that impacts our previously scheduled appointments, you’ll be getting a message or call. I will continue working the one Saturday every 6 weeks however this day is already full for the Saturday clients.

💥 Winter is still among us. For the safety of myself and everyone involved, temps less than 25 degrees will warrant a reschedule unless we have a dry, warm barn to get into. If there is ice and snow on the ground, and we don’t have a clear, dry spot to work, reschedule. I don’t mind working on donkey clients in the snow because I don’t get yanked around but larger equine make it more dangerous. Slick = injuries and those injuries usually happen to me.

Thank you for your continued support and loyalties! Have a wonderful day!

💥 Being back in Michigan instructing the Fall Session at the Equine Dental Academy has me considering opening my book to the public for equine floats in MO/KS. Appointments will be limited to a few days a month at this time due to my farrier schedule. I do travel within 2 hours of 64040 with a minimum of 6 head. If you have 15-20 head in one location farther than 2 hours from that zip code, I will travel to you. The travel fee is based on distance. I do offer hand floating as well as power floating (only if the malocclusions require the use of power to reduce). I will NOT sedate your horse. If your horse needs sedation, you need to be able to do so with whatever you and your vet considers medically safe for your horse or have your vet present to do so. 💥

They’re not all perfect. This guy was an auction pull by me on Wednesday. I had no idea he had a valgus deviation, I couldn’t see it on the online auction nor was it disclosed during bidding. I found out when I picked him up Thursday. He comes from Colorado off the Cross Slash Ranch. He ended up at Cuba from a known horse trader. Today, I pulled his shoes and tried something different. After speaking to a couple farrier friends, I decided to put a 2 degree wedge medially and leather pads just for added protection. Before: his leg was snapping back every step he took. After: it looks quite a bit better. I am going to continue working on an appropriate package for this horse. He deserves it. CSR Bluequillo Star, now named Deets after the kind soul on Lonesome Dove, you’re home for good.
