LJ FFA members traveled north for the first CDE contest of the year on Friday.
The day was highlighted with the Ag Mechanic team’s fourth place finish, led by seniors Mavy T and RK Jigs who placed FIRST and SECOND overall out of 112 competitors!!
We also had students compete in Meats, Livestock and Poultry evaluation who all gained valuable experience.

This afternoon two LJ FFA members traveled to Harrisonville for the 26-27 Area 7 officer team interviews. Although Aiden wasn’t selected, he did a great job and proudly represented our chapter. Also, thank you to Kyler for working as a voting delegate and networking with other FFA members from the area.

It's Official!

LJ FFA members Mylee, Mavrick and Ryan have all been approved to receive the State FFA Degree. These three will be recognized during the Missouri State FFA Convention in Mizzou Arena on Friday, April 17th.
Additionally, Mavrick will travel to Columbia the weekend before state to interview as a candidate for Star in Agribusiness.

Congrats to these three outstanding LJ FFA members!

Students and staff at Lone Jack Middle and High School were able to try some grilled American lamb burgers today at school to help celebrate National FFA Week. The lamb carcass was studied and prepped as a project by the Animal Science class. This opportunity was made possible through a grant from the Missouri Sheep Merchandising Council.

FFA members stop by the ag classroom Thursday during your lunch shift to grab a cheeseburger, chips and drink.

FFA spirit days begin tomorrow to celebrate National FFA Week. The more you participate the more leadership points you accumulate for end of year rewards! Encourage your non-FFA friends and teachers to participate as well.

In addition to the activites shown in the photo we will also be doing:

Monday night officer presentstion to 8th grade families, 6pm
Wednesday night Mavericks hockey game

LJ FFA had a full day today!!

Started the day making bagged ice cream with the Lone Jack Elementary fifth grade class and tested their agricultural knowledge for the chance to win some chapter t-shirts.

Spent some time taking in the sights at Burr Oak Woods Nature Center before adding three more LJ FFA members to the Pizza Street Hall of Fame rankings! Congrats to Sam C, Gavin D and AJ!

Wrapped up the day by delivering 347 canned food items to the Western Farm Show to support Harvesters - The Community Food Network and help the Missouri FFA Association beat out Kansas in the border war.

National FFA week kicks off Monday with ‘chore clothes’ day at school.

Also, this Wednesday is the deadline for tickets to the Mavericks game on 2/25.
