💙💚 Living donation makes it possible for healthy people to donate a kidney, part of their liver and certain other organs and tissues, helping others receive the transplants they need as soon as possible. According to the Organ Procurement & Transplantation Network, the number of living donor transplants has continued to grow in recent years, with more than 7,000 taking place nationwide in 2025 alone. HCA Healthcare, our broader network of care, is a leading provider of living donor kidney transplants, performing 352 of these transplants last year. In total, our caregivers performed 1,324 organ transplants in 2025. During this Donate Life month, we are also pleased to share that Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank will have its Circle of Light photo display in the lobby at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge from April 15-30. This remarkable display showcases photos from corneal transplant recipients and what they are happy to see after their sight is restored.

Living with hip pain and chronic labral tears can be challenging for young athletes. In some cases, the cause may be hip dysplasia - a condition in which the hip socket is too shallow to fully cover and support the ball-shaped top of the thigh bone, leading to instability and misalignment.

Kelly’s daughter, Riley, began experiencing knee and hip pain while playing volleyball. As the pain became more persistent, they sought care at the HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge International Center for Hip Preservation and Riley was diagnosed with hip dysplasia.

Our surgeons specialize in preserving the natural hip joint while helping reduce pain caused by dysplasia and other conditions. In honor of the heroic donors and their families who said "yes" to organ, eye and tissue donation, our colleagues raise a flag in unity, remembrance and support to create awareness for those touched by donation and transplantation.

We are honored to partner with Donor Alliance on this lifesaving and healing mission. Together, we support families through the most difficult moments in their lives by honoring the decision of their loved ones and facilitating the gift of life. We are proud to share that 18 lives were saved through organ donation and 2,025 lives healed through tissue donation at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge last year alone.
