Huge news!
PCOS will now be known as PMOS or polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome. According to the Endocrine Society, the change in name should help address complex hormonal or endocrine disorders rather than just focus on cysts and ovaries. This has often led to missed diagnoses and inadequate treatment.

We are so excited that Nicole Kanelos has joined our team here at Lonetree OBGYN & Midwives! Nicole will be our new Office Triage Nurse providing clinical assistance and support for patients and our providers. Upon graduating from the University of Wyoming, Nicole spent five years at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs specializing in women and infant care. She is also a postpartum and labor doula.
"I come from a family of obstetric and newborn nurses. Pregnancy, labor, postpartum and womanhood in general can come with vulnerable moments. I find great fulfillment in creating a comfortable space where women feel heard, respected and empowered."
